Pilgrims

A visit to St Germans and its Priory Church has been an important feature of pilgrimages for many centuries.

In order to facilitate such pilgrimages the St Germans Priory Trust is delighted to be able to offer 'Champing' (Church Camping) accommodation within the Church to pilgrims passing through the village.

Pilgrims are welcome to 'champ' overnight in the Priory.  We provide:

  • Composting toilets.
  • An outside water tap.
  • Use of kettle and power socket.

All we ask is:

  • You must book in (see below) in advance to let us know you're coming.
  • A small donation if you are able.
  • No indoor cooking, fires or naked flames.
  • You leave the Priory as you find it.

We are an open church so you may need to be flexible around our ongoing programme of weddings, funerals, christenings, services and events. We'll let you know what is planned when you let us know you're planning a visit.

Local facilities close by include a village pub, café, bus stop, railway station, shop and post office.
